NJAWBO'S WBC WINS NATIONAL WBC OF EXCELLENCE AWARD!
 
 On May 18, 2009, NJAWBO's Women's Business Center was presented the National Women's Business Center of Excellence Award by Karen G. Mills, Administrator of the U.S. Small Business Administration, as part of the opening ceremony of Small Business Week in Washington, D.C.

WBC WINS REGIONAL WBC OF EXCELLENCE AWARD!

NJAWBO's Women's Business Center Director, Penni Nafus, was presented with the Regional Women's Business Center of Excellence Award by the U.S. Small Business Administration's New Jersey District Director, James A. Kocsi, at their regional awards luncheon on Friday, May 8, 2009.


ECONOMIC STIMULUS PLAN-ARC LOANS AVAILABLE SOON!
Beginning June 15, the new ARC Loans, which is part of the new Economic Stimulus Plan, will be available.  These are for businesses struggling to make their loan payments; loans can be up to $35,000, no payments are required for 1 year, at a 0% interest rate.  For more information, please visit www.sba.gov.


FREE CERTIFICATION ASSISTANCE NOW AVAILABLE!
NJAWBO’s Women’s Business Center announces a new program for women business owners seeking information and counseling regarding the certification maze.  Beginning in August 2008, NJAWBO member Dolcey Chaplin will be available at the WBC in Chatham the THIRD WEDNESDAY of each month from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM (by appointment only) to speak with you. This is your opportunity to receive counseling from an attorney with vast experience in the certification/procurement arena AT NO CHARGE!  Please telephone the WBC office at 973-507-9700 or e-mail WBCDirector@njawbo.org for an appointment. Unfortunately, we will not be able to accommodate walk-ins.

Announcing a new program to help raise funds for NJAWBO's Women's Business Center: Printer Cartridge Recycling.  Any organization using a laser or inkjet printer can take part in this initiative.  Best of all, this program can create an opportunity for participating organizations to be recognized by their community for their environmentally and socially responsible actions at no cost to the organization.

Women's Business Center courses are offered exclusively by the New Jersey Association of Women Business Owners (NJAWBO), with classes held throughout the state. Corporate, Federal, and State funding allows programs to be offered at an affordable cost to all participants.
